At SBC Recycle, we specialize in electronics recycling, but we also offer battery recycling to help keep reusable materials out of landfills. 5.0 - Drop Off FAQ
5.1 - Can I drop off my items?
Yes! The cheapest way to recycle your items is to drop them off at our facility during business hours. This will save you the pickup fee associated with sending a truck out to your location.

5.2 - Do I need to schedule a drop off appointment?
Nope! You can simply stop by our facility anytime during regular business hour. Someone will always be around to help unload items and take payment if need be.
You can drop off your items at our Beaverton location or you can schedule online and we will pick up from your home or business.

5.3 - What are your drop-off hours?
Monday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Wednesday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

5.4 - Will there be someone to help offload the items?
Yes! There will always be an employee eagerly awaiting your drop-off who will assist you in unloading your item(s) and take payment if need be. On the off chance you don’t see an employee, please ring the bell for service and someone will be with you shortly.
5.5 - Do you have a forklift to unload heavy items?
Yes! We have a forklift onsite to unload or load heavy items.
6.0 - Pickup FAQ
6.01 - Do you offer a pickup service?
Yes, we do! Our standard pickup service covers a curbside pickup (other options available).
This means that you pay online and leave your item anywhere outside for us to pick it up. Most homeowners prefer this arrangement as it is convenient and not intrusive at all. You don’t have to be home, and we don’t have to invade your privacy.
Note: If you live in an apartment or think your HOA will complain about the item on the curb/outside, simply leave a note “SCHEDULED FOR PICK-UP” on your item. This will assure them that you are not abandoning an item and that it will be removed promptly.
We can pick your items up for a fee which is calculated based on how many miles away you are from our facility. The further away you are, the more expensive the cost. You can get a quote by simply typing in your address in STEP 4 after adding the items to be picked up to your cart in STEP 1.
If you don’t want to leave it on the curb or in the driveway then we understand, we can also pick up items from inside your home. Note: There will be an additional fee for removing items from inside your house. See “Item Location” in STEP 4.
6.02 - Do you charge for pickups?

6.03 - Can I choose the day and time for my pickup?
Yes, you can choose a specific recycling pickup date and time during the scheduling process. You will have an option to select the date and time in STEP 4.
Please note: There will be an additional fee if you need a specific 2-hour time window. We will send out a dedicated truck to your location to be there on time.
6.04 - Do you pick up on weekends?
Yes, but only on Saturdays. We are always closed on Sunday.
6.05 - What if I can't move my items outside?
Don’t want to leave your items for recycling on the curb? No problem. We can either collect it from your garage at no extra charge or from inside your house/apartment for an added fee. No need to haul heavy equipment around, let us do the hard work.
6.06 - What if I live in an apartment?
If you live in an apartment building you can leave the small items outside the apartment door, this way we will not invade your privacy when we pick up.
Larger items can be moved to your carport or even into the a uncovered parking area with a note saying “Scheduled for Recycling pickup”.
If no other option is available you can leave larger items inside your unit, but there will be an additional fee involved (See “Item Location” in STEP 4).
6.07 - What if my items aren't picked up on the preferred day?
Customer service is our highest priority, so we will go out of our way to pick up your items on the day you’ve requested.
However, unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, traffic, or workload might prevent us from picking up your items on the day you’ve requested. If this unlikely scenario arises, we will come out the following business day to grab your items.
We will be in touch via email or phone if we are unable to pick up your items on the day you’ve scheduled.
6.08 - When will you pick up my mattress or appliance?
We will pick up your items on the day that you selected during the scheduling process, with exceptions***
Keep in mind that we now service the whole Portland Metropolitan and Vancouver area. This means that we might have to group pickups that are more than 30 miles away together to keep prices as low as possible for our customers.
It can be very hard to judge how long each individual pickup will take. We also never know when a truck will have to go back to headquarters to unload if it becomes full during recycling pickups.
For this reason, it is not always possible for us to guarantee that we will be able to pick up your items on the day you requested (99.99% of all pickups are picked up on the requested day).
We will send you an email if we cannot pick up on the day that you scheduled your pickup. Your patience in this respect will be greatly appreciated.
***If you schedule your pickup late in the day it might not be picked up the same day

6.09 - Can you pick up from my storage/locker/shed/etc.?
Yes! Just enter the address for your storage locker and we will meet you there to remove your unwanted items. You must be available to meet us at the storage facility so we can gain access. We will call you 15 to 30 minutes ahead of time
6.10 - Can I add items to my already scheduled pickup?
Yes! You may add items to your recycling pickup even after you paid.
- The cost would be based on the current pricing as per the website.
- You don’t have to pay the pickup fee again, only for the additional items.
- You can pay the driver in Cash or Check.
- If you previously paid by credit card we can charge the same card. We just need the security code on the back of the card. You can give it to the driver or call it in.
CREDIT CARD SECURITY – Our credit card merchant will only show the last for digits of the card that was previously used. So all your information is secure, we don’t keep the credit card on file.
